- eMedicine Nephrology (Identical in format to the better known WebMD e-medicine site but entirely dedicated to Nephrology. Extensive, searchable, updated database.)
- Merck Manual: Genitourinary Disorders (Essentially a FREE on-line version of their well known Merck Manual of Genitourinary Disorders. Very useful for primary care clinicians. Easy to navigate, searchable database, updated consistently.)
- National Kidney Foundation (The NKF supports clinicians and scientists in the field of nephrology by providing continuing education, developing practice guidelines, fostering research, and shaping health policy affecting renal health professionals and patients. Site is clinician and patent-friendly. Access is FREE to most content.)
- National Kidney & Urologic Diseases Information Clearing House (Site Mission: to increase knowledge and understanding about diseases of the kidneys and urologic system among people with these conditions and their families, health care professionals, and the general public. Clinicians will find the Statistics, Clinical Trials and Guidelines the most useful content on this site.)
- NephrOnline (The website acts as a news-gathering vehicle for NN&I (Nephrology News and Issues) and offers a unique opportunity to cover and offer commentary on stories while they are still developing.)
- Nephrology Channel Online (Site is developed and monitored by board-certified physicians, nephrologychannel provides comprehensive, trustworthy information about conditions that affect the kidneys, such as kidney cancer and nephrotic syndrome, as well as procedures, such as dialysis. The "Conditions" toolbar (left side page) offers a solid review of common renal diseases for primary care clinicians.)
